Today, mum and I took the girls to see their idols "The Wiggles". This is the second time we have seen them and I must say I enjoyed it more this year than last year! Our concert was starting at 12.30pm so we caught the train into the city, much to Paige's disliking. We were waiting on the platform and the express train flew past us and she got spooked, so then she cried all the way into town on the train. She calmed down once we got off the train, but then it was Summer's turn to start screaming when we got into the lift at Parliament station.
Anyway, we walked to the Dallas Brooks Centre but before hand we took them to McDonalds for lunch, and it was packed in there. A concert had just finished so there were mums and kids everywhere. There was a man sitting near us who asked me if there was a kids party happening and I said The Wiggles were performing thats why there were kids everywhere. After lunch we walked to the venue and tried to find our seats.
We had real shitty seats in the obstructed view area so we ended up sitting in the aisle up near the front of the stage where all the kids and some other parents were with their children. It was great, the girls sat on our laps and jiggled around and danced and cheered! We got waves from Jeff and Murray and Sam and Captain Feathersword. But it was at the end when the show finished that we went up to the stage and Anthony gave Paige some special waves, he is so lovely. I think they really have a soft spot for special needs children as Ive seen some kids with Down Syndrome in their DVD's.
After the show, we headed back to the station to catch our train back home. Both girls were exhausted but very happy. Summer had ants in her pants at one stage and I think got a little bored sitting down watching but for most of the show she was enthralled! Same with Paige, she was drinking in the atmosphere and really paying attention, and they both shrieked when Waggs came on, they both love him!
Im looking forward to taking them again when they hit the road for another tour! Meanwhile here are a few pics from today, of my Wiggley fans!!
